Brief

From Thierry Henry to Rebecca Holloway, mental health struggles of footballers are well documented. While mental health stigma still prevails in the sporting world, it’s vital that athletes are aware of the resources available to help them. Which is why we were pleased to promote the valuable support Sporting Chance provide to the Premier League, through this short film.

Strategy

Our idea was to use the visceral image of a deflating ball to represent the struggle athletes have with mental health. As it inflates, the support available is conveyed both overtly through text and the imagery itself.

Results

Calls to the Sporting Chance helpline have increased by 47%.
